Audio Technica AT-LP7X Manual Belt-Drive turntable with AT-VM95E MM-System and dust cover
The AT-LP7X manual belt-drive turntable combines analog excellence with style and versatility. With its dense MDF plinth and acrylic platter, which minimize unwanted resonances and vibrations, this elegant, matte black turntable delivers a sound as clear and refined as its appearance.
In developing the LP7X, we paid particular attention to the chassis geometry to ensure that the platter, spindle, and tonearm are optimally positioned for precise, distortion-free tracking. The J-shaped aluminum tonearm, inspired by classic AT models of the 1960s and 1970s, features a dual-axis gimbal bearing with precision ball bearings to further enhance tracking performance.
The turntable comes with our AT-LT10 headshell and the AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, offering excellent channel separation and low distortion for superb sound quality. For easy customization, the stylus can be replaced or swapped with other styli from the VM95 series, providing a wide range of options to suit every budget and application.
The AT-LP7X is ideal for those who want to experiment with alternative cartridges. The tonearm's VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) adjustment and 16g counterweight allow the use of a wide variety of other cartridges and headshells with a combined weight of up to 23.5g. (A separately available 32g counterweight allows the use of even heavier cartridge/headshell combinations.) With its built-in switchable phono preamp, the AT-LP7X also gives you the option of using MC (Moving Coil) cartridges.
The turntable's 20 mm acrylic platter is driven by an optically monitored motor, ensuring a consistently accurate platter speed of 33-1/3 or 45 RPM. The motor is mounted on vibration-damping rubber bushings that decouple it from the plinth, minimizing the transmission of mechanical noise and vibration. An external switching power supply isolates the AC-to-DC conversion to prevent electrical interference, and the turntable's spring-loaded, height-adjustable isolation feet provide excellent protection against external noise.
The AT-LP7X comes with a detachable RCA output cable (two RCA males to two RCA males with ground), a 45 RPM adapter, and a removable dust cover.
