The Cayin CP6 is a portable high-end CD player featuring tube technology, triple-timbre sound tuning, and versatile digital functions. In addition to classic CD playback, it offers a USB DAC, bidirectional Bluetooth, lossless CD ripping, and balanced and unbalanced headphone and line outputs in a compact, portable design.

With the CP6, Cayin brings its many years of experience in developing tube CD players to a portable hi-fi device. The model combines Cayin’s signature tube sound with modern portability and is aimed at listeners seeking audiophile sound quality, flexible connectivity, and versatile use in a single device.

At the heart of the CP6 are two carefully selected Raytheon JAN6418 NOS tubes, which enable three selectable sound signatures: Classic Tube, Modern Tube, and Solid-State. These sound modes can be switched at the touch of a button and are available for the headphone output, line-out, and even Bluetooth output.

The CP6 features a fully balanced, discrete four-channel headphone amplifier and supports either Class A or Class AB operation. Thanks to its wide impedance compatibility range of 8 to 600 ohms, the device effortlessly drives both sensitive in-ear monitors and demanding high-impedance headphones.

The CP6 is also exceptionally versatile when it comes to connectivity. It supports CD, USB, and Bluetooth as input sources and offers 3.5-mm and 4.4-mm headphone and line outputs; coaxial, optical, and Bluetooth digital outputs are also available.

For digital signal processing, it utilizes two Cirrus Logic CS4308P DACs, an XMOS XU316 USB processor, and the Qualcomm QCC3083 Bluetooth chipset. The device supports high-resolution Bluetooth codecs such as LDAC, aptX Adaptive, and aptX HD; functions as both a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver; and enables lossless CD ripping directly to USB storage.

The power supply is designed for both mobile and stationary use. The CP6 offers both battery operation and an external DC power supply, supports QC and PD fast charging, and achieves up to 7.5 hours of battery life depending on the operating mode. In DC mode, the balanced output delivers up to 1300 mW + 1300 mW into 16 ohms.

The design is rounded out by a high-quality aluminum housing, a 2.3-inch color display, app control via the Cayin Control app, and a proprietary anti-shock CD mechanism. The CP6 thus combines classic CD playback, modern digital technology, and audiophile sound tuning in an exceptionally versatile portable player.
