Rich power and still Class A

Amplifiers in single-ended circuits with triodes enjoy a delicate reputation among tube fans: They are known for the finest sound nuances as well as for deficits in performance and stability. The Cayin Jazz 100 now puts an end to this: It offers a real single-ended circuit with a single 805A power tube per channel and still delivers an incredible 35 watts of power in Class A operation. This means that the dream of a single-ended triode can also come true for owners of conventional speakers!

Cayin succeeds in combining the finest tube sound and powerful dynamics thanks to the 805A power tube. Triodes are considered by experts to be the most purist design anyway, in the Jazz 100 only one of these directly heated tubes works per channel in real single-ended Class A operation. This design, in which the most delicate music signals are amplified without crossover distortion in the middle of the linear tube characteristic, guarantees incomparable sound purity with the finest transparency. The high-quality glass bulbs are manufactured by the manufacturer Psvane and selected in-house at Cayin for maximum channel equality.

The output transformers, which are just as important for the sound, were specially developed for the Jazz 100 circuit and guarantee unusually good load stability for single-ended amplifiers as well as compatibility with various, even commercially available, loudspeakers. The astonishing power output of up to two times 35 watts RMS also contributes to this.

As flexible as a modern amplifier

The Cayin Jazz 100 proves that a classic tube circuit and flexible application options are not mutually exclusive. Various analog sources can be connected to the three classic Cinch/RCA inputs, which can be easily selected using the included remote control. The massive IR signal generator also offers volume control from the listening position and a mute function.

In addition, the Jazz 100 has a Bluetooth receiver built in for the direct wireless playback of digital signals. With Bluetooth 5.0 and high-quality codecs such as AAC, aptX HD and LDAC, high quality is guaranteed even with wireless playback. A full-fledged headphone output on the front drives practically all commercially available headphones. VU meters on the front show the current power information of the two channels and give the Jazz 100 a timeless, technical look.

Adaptation to sound, impedance and taste

The Cayin Jazz 100 not only offers a sensational-sounding single-ended power amplifier stage, it can also be adapted in a unique way to the connected playing partners and the user's wishes. Different taps on the output transformer with their own terminals for 4 or 8 ohms enable optimal adaptation of voltage reserves, current delivery capacity and damping factor to either high or low-impedance loudspeakers.

The design of the negative feedback circuit can also be adapted to the connected speakers or the taste of the music listener, with the type 805A output tubes operating either with high negative feedback and maximum control or with minimal negative feedback and maximum musicality. The bias for each tube can be optimized with a trimmer, the left pointer instrument serves as a simple display for optimal setting. An additional control, the so-called "hum balancer", minimizes the tendency to hum to a minimum in the individual setup.

If you want to further individualize the sound of the Jazz 100, you can replace the 6L6 driver tubes used with compatible models such as EL34, KT88 or similar.
