The DT 1990 PRO MKII studio headphones represent the second generation of the popular premium model and, thanks to their open design and excellent stereo imaging, are ideal for mixing, mastering, and editing. Manufactured in Germany, they impress with improved sound, increased comfort, and industry-leading build quality.

At their heart is the new TESLA.45 driver technology. Completely redesigned, the 45 mm driver system impresses with excellent resolution, extremely low distortion, and outstanding transient response. Thanks to weight-optimized materials, the TESLA.45 combines the best sound quality with flexibility. The DT 1990 PRO MKII has an impedance of 30 ohms, allowing the studio headphones to be used with a variety of devices.

In terms of sound, these reference headphones impress with precise and wide-ranging bass reproduction for an open-back headphone. The high frequencies, which are slightly reduced in places compared to the previous model, offer a high level of information and help avoid incorrect decisions in the mix, especially in modern productions with complex treble profiles.

The studio headphones offer outstanding comfort during extended studio sessions. The robust spring steel headband construction ensures ideal contact pressure. The comfortable velour ear cushions prevent heat buildup. The memory foam headband adapts perfectly to the individual head shape and, thanks to the new fontanelle cutout, prevents pressure-sensitive areas. The headband and ear cushions are replaceable if necessary.

The DT 1990 PRO MKII comes with two different ear cushion options for maximum flexibility. The standard "Producing Velour" provides a slight bass boost for a fuller sound, while the "Mixing & Mastering Velour" offers a more precise, analytical sound. Two cables are also included: a 3-meter straight cable and a 5-meter coiled cable, both with a lockable 3-pin mini-XLR connector. Everything is safely stored in a high-quality hard case.
