Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Headphones cloesed, 32 Ohm
The classic reference
The beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32, a closed-back dynamic headphone for control and monitoring purposes with an impedance of 32 ohms, has long held a firm place in studios around the world. It offers good transient response with excellent acoustic detail, especially on mobile devices such as smartphones and laptops. For professional studios with powerful headphone amplifiers, the 80 and 250 ohm versions are more suitable, as they offer even better sound and crisper transient response.
Quality made in Germany
The beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 is a circumaural headphone, but thanks to soft, replaceable leatherette ear cushions, it offers a high level of comfort for extended periods of wear, while also sitting securely on the ears. The single-sided cable facilitates frequent putting on and taking off without tangling. Its robust, comfortably padded, and adjustable headband construction made of spring steel ensures durability. In any case, quality is a top priority at beyerdynamic: The DT 770 Pro has always been handcrafted in Germany.
Studio Legend
The diffuse-field equalized beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, the closed-back model of the DT 770/880/990 Pro series, offers maximum flexibility and detailed sound while simultaneously providing good isolation from ambient noise. Therefore, it is often used in the studio for monitoring and mix control. It delivers accurate reproduction of the entire frequency range and reproduces even low frequencies powerfully and accurately. The highs are also very clear and differentiated, but the mids are not 100% linear. That would be asking a bit much for headphones in this price range. Its frequency response makes it ideal not only for studio use but also for pure music listening, so it is also often used as a hi-fi headphone.
About beyerdynamic
The beyerdynamic company was founded in Berlin in 1924 as a manufacturer of cinema loudspeakers. With the development of the DT 48 dynamic headphones in 1937 and the M 19 dynamic microphone in 1939, beyerdynamic significantly shaped the development of modern sound transducers. After the war, the company relocated to Heilbronn; today, it has offices in Farmingdale, New York, and Shenzhen, as well as branches in the USA and China. Among beyerdynamic's most sought-after products are traditionally headphones and microphones – for both live and studio use, especially since a large portion of the products are still manufactured in Germany. Gamers and streamers will also find a good selection of audio equipment here, especially broadcast and gaming headsets.
Everything Included
The beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 comes with a 1.6-meter-long, straight cable to a mini-jack connector, which is permanently soldered. Replacing the cable is quite possible with a little DIY skill. All other parts (especially the ear pads) are also replaceable. A screw-on adapter to a large jack and a drawstring bag with a labeling field are also included. At 317 grams (including cable), the headphones are surprisingly light yet sturdily built. This, among other things, makes them fatigue-free, even during long studio sessions.
