The Denton 85th Anniversary is a two-way loudspeaker in a classic bookshelf design, hand-veneered in mahogany by Wharfedale cabinet makers and featuring a recessed baffle and traditional tungsten grille.

However, beneath the traditional exterior, the Denton 85th Anniversary is state-of-the-art, utilizing a mix of classic and modern technology. The woofer features the innovative Wharfedale Kevlar woven cone mounted on a rigid die-cast chassis. This combination ensures a rich, detailed low/mid range with excellent dynamics. The high frequencies are transmitted by a woven textile soft dome tweeter with high flux ferrite magnets, designed for smooth, detailed extension of the high frequency range.

These drive units are combined by a precisely developed crossover that is almost inaudible to the listener. The result is coherent, seamless music reproduction that reproduces any source material excitingly and naturally.

However, beneath the traditional exterior, the Denton 85th Anniversary is absolutely state-of-the-art, utilizing a mix of traditional and advanced technology. The bass unit features Wharfedale's innovative woven Kevlar cone mounted on a sturdy die-cast chassis. This combination delivers rich, detailed bass/midrange reproduction with excellent dynamic performance. High frequencies are handled by a woven textile soft-dome tweeter unit with a high-flux ferrite magnet, designed for smooth, detailed HF extension.
