Extremely powerful transistor amplifier - AMC XIA150se

The AMC XIA150se is the turbo for the swallowing woodpecker. What we mean here by swallowing woodpecker is, of course, a power-hungry sound transducer. In this case, the XIA150se has a lot of steam under the hood.

Simple, inexpensive speakers are often relatively easy to drive. However, in audiophile high-end solutions there are occasionally speakers with poor efficiency, an unfavorable impedance curve, or a very low impedance minimum. The reasons can be varied. The foundation for the very high power reserves is laid by a large toroidal transformer with 600 VA output, a solid power supply with 50,000 micro-Farad filter capacity, separate power amplifier modules, high-quality components in the discreetly constructed preamplifier and a carefully designed, also discreetly constructed power amplifier. This has a continuous output of 150/250 watts at 8/4 ohms. The HCO (High Current Output) technology with 30 amps peak current ensures a high current delivery capability even with an impedance of 2 ohms.

Thanks to the AMC "Soft Clipping" technology, the sound reveals a certain tendency towards tube sound.
