VM95 Series – Cartridge Compatibility Overview

Even the best diamond needle wears out over time - conical needles after about 500 hours, elliptical needles after 300 hours, microlinear needles after 1000 hours and Shibata needles after around 800 hours.

For this reason, we designed our VM95 series dual moving magnet pickups so that the styli can be interchanged and the pickup itself can be used almost unlimitedly. If the stylus is worn out, you don't need to buy a new pickup, just the right replacement stylus - or you can upgrade your system with another, higher quality stylus.

Our VM95 Series dual moving magnet cartridges can be used almost forever by replacing the interchangeable stylus. It is no longer necessary to purchase a complete cartridge when your diamond is worn out, you can simply buy the matching replacement stylus, but also enjoy the experience of upgrading your cartridge with a different stylus.

All six VM95 pickup models feature the same electromagnetic drive unit (housing). The six styli in this series are therefore 100% compatible.
