The Wellfleet is the latest addition to the "new" Oyster models in the Rainier collection. The brand has taken the award-winning design of the Moonstone and improved it, re-tuning the suspension for optimal performance of a nude elliptical diamond with the existing generator and resonance-optimized case of the rest of the Rainier series.

Wellfleet uses a highly polished elliptical stylus that eliminates the connection between the stylus and the shaft. With the new assembly, the excess mass in the shaft is trimmed away to further reduce the mass of the tip, resulting in a faster, more direct and more precise response of movement of all components. With the Wellfleet, voices are immediate, pure and detailed, the warmth of the human voice becoming more apparent and emphasizing subtleties, enhanced by tight and well-controlled bass. Backing vocals are easier to spot, and the listener is able to identify different instruments, for example the clatter of snare wires or the woody tones of an old acoustic guitar.

Suitable for light and medium-heavy tonearms. Upgrade with a Stylus Amethyst. Can be used with a Stylus RS78 to play shellac records.
