Audio Technica ATH ADX3000 Reference Air Dynamic Open-Back Headphones

The ATH-ADX3000 is an open-back headphone designed based on our flagship ATH-ADX5000 to bring the natural sound of Air Dynamic headphones to more people. The headphones are equipped with perfectly integrated 58 mm drivers, whose membrane, voice coil, baffle and magnet form a unit and thus ensure more efficient air flow and excellent audio quality across the entire frequency spectrum. This optimal design also results in a significant reduction in unwanted distortions. The result is an outstanding, full sound with natural bass, clean mids and highs as well as a precise, realistic sound image.

The feather-light (257 g), high-end headphones are hand-crafted at our factory in Machida, Tokyo, using in-house developed components and rigorously tested before delivery. For long-term wearing comfort, the headphones are equipped with replaceable velor ear pads. It is delivered with a detachable 3 m cable with A2DC plugs (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) for the headphone connection and a gold-plated 6.3 mm stereo jack plug for a wide range of playback devices.

A secure connection - especially for audio signals

Since 2015, Audio-Technica has been using the exclusively developed A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors for all in-ears and selected over-ear headphones with removable cables. But why did we develop this new type of connector in the first place, and why is it better suited for audio applications than traditional connectors?
