AEON 2 Noire

The ÆON 2 Noire is a version of the award-winning ÆON headphone line. Based on the ÆON 2 Closed, the ÆON 2 Noire offers a different sound with a more vibrant and engaging feel and comes in an attractive high-gloss black design.

The ÆON 2 Noire uses perforated ear cushions to create a unique sound signature with richer bass, airier mids, and more vibrant highs than the classic ÆON 2 Closed. While you can, of course, install the perforated cushions on an ÆON 2 Closed to achieve the same sound, this popular tuning (which The New York Times called the best sound under $2,000) is now available with the ÆON 2 Noire, right out of the box.

The original ÆON Flow broke new ground with its ergonomic and stylish industrial design, a hallmark of Dan Clark Audio Designs. The world's lightest planar magnetic headphone, which impressed both the press and our customers with its sound, has been greatly improved in Version 2.

The drive system has been significantly improved based on the insights gained during the development of the Ether 2. The new ear cushions now isolate more effectively thanks to thicker sidewalls and are also backwards compatible with the first-generation cushions.

Since the ÆON was a popular headphone for home and travel, there was often a desire for more compactness. Dan Clark Audio has responded to this request and developed a sophisticated gimbal-type folding headband that allows the ÆON to disappear into an extremely compact case for transport. The extremely low weight of 321 grams has, of course, remained, which is particularly beneficial for longer listening sessions and when traveling.
