Newly Developed 50 mm BioDyna Driver

The BioDyna driver, renowned for its high resolution and exceptionally balanced sound, has been significantly enhanced. The newly developed surround improves amplitude stability, enabling precise and well-defined low frequencies without excessive excursion.

Furthermore, unwanted resonances are suppressed, eliminating distortion from background noise and resulting in a natural and balanced midrange. Use of lightweight magnesium alloy mechanical parts

A redesigned magnesium alloy construction for mechanical parts such as the case base and hanger contributes to a 20% weight reduction compared to aluminum. Rubber dampers are used for the swivel mechanism to minimize excessive vibration. The meticulous design, which considers every detail of every part, further enhances wearing comfort.

Solid maple wood case with traditional Japanese "Urushi" lacquer finish

The solid maple cabinet features a lacquer finish developed in-house by Sakamoto Otozo Shoten Co., Ltd., a company founded in 1900 (Meiji 33) that integrates traditional Japanese craftsmanship into industrial products. The "foil pattern," which uses black lacquer as a base coat and tears of sulfur-smoked silver foil applied like a collage, conveys a sense of luxury and depth. The solid, high-density hardwood, combined with the hard lacquer finish, adds no unnecessary coloration to the sound, allowing you to enjoy a solid, deep bass response and a clear, wide treble range. The open-back TH919 uses aluminum with a matte anodized finish based on a geometric pattern inspired by the “Kumiko” woodwork on the housing opening, a precise two-layer structure with laser-cut grid processing, and careful adjustment of the opening ratios and internal components, reproducing a natural sound field with high resolution and minimal listener fatigue, as befits an open-back design.

Newly Shaped Ear Pads with New Materials

The new ear pads feature a beveled surface for an optimal fit. The inner, elastic urethane consists of two layers: a soft outer layer and a highly flexible inner layer to conform to the shape of your head. Furthermore, the use of synthetic leather made from silk protein, which is three times more durable than conventional materials, ensures superior comfort even during extended listening sessions.

Flexibly Adjustable Headband and Padding

The headband and padding are crafted from natural sheepskin, providing a soft and comfortable fit.

Includes a proprietary high-purity OFC unbalanced 2-pole 3.5 mm Y-cable.

For the internal wiring and the included unbalanced cable, we used 7N grade (99.99999%) oxygen-free copper, which has been refined to the utmost to eliminate impurities and improve transmission capacity. We also plan to release a balanced 4.4 mm cable (ETTH4.4BL2Y).
