Sometimes the best gifts are the ones you give yourself! At the beginning of the 1990s, when the LP had long been overtaken by the CD and almost all record player factories were closed, Pro-Ject dared to start over as a record player manufacturer. Reason enough to celebrate ATR's 40th anniversary with a turntable created especially for this occasion: With the ATR Celebration 40, we have chosen the best-of turntable from the cornucopia of technical possibilities offered by our partners Pro-Ject and Ortofon for our fortieth anniversary ATR Celebration 40 granted.

The medium-heavy tonearm is ideal for MM, MC pickups and for MC pickups of the Ortofon SPU N type with headshell attachment according to the 1/2-inch standard. The conical tonearm tube and the headshell are made of one piece of carbon fiber/aluminium composite material, which means they are very rigid and have low resonance. Ball bearings in ABEC 7 quality allow the arm tube to be moved with almost no mechanical inhibition. The stylus can thus follow the record groove unhindered.

The ATR Celebration 40 Pure is available in its pure form without a pickup (this version) or in two sets with a price advantage. In the SuperPack 1, it comes with a low-output MC pickup, the Ortofon SPU ATR Celebration 40, which has won multiple awards. The Ortofon 6NX TSW-1010-5P phono cable that comes with the turntable guarantees the best signal transmission. And if you like it very classic, you can also add the MC transformer Ortofon ST-7 to the package in the SuperPack 2, which makes operation on an MM phono input possible. Ideal not only for tube amplifiers where there should be no transistor in the signal path.

• The headshell and tonearm tube are made from a single piece of carbon fiber/aluminium composite
• The tone arm tube can be twisted after loosening a screw. Despite the fixed headshell, this allows horizontal (azimuth) adjustment of the pickup
• The possibility of adjusting the working height of the tonearm allows vertical adjustment of the pickup (VTA)
• Four hardened stainless steel tips mounted in ABEC 7 ball bearings form the inverted tonearm bearings
