This new speaker series features a C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ mid/bass driver, first used in the award-winning 5000 Series and the M40 micro tower speakers. Q Acoustics' latest technical platform sets the 3000c apart from its competitors, delivering sound characterized by articulate and fast mids, controlled yet powerful bass dynamics, and nuanced and detailed highs, delivering an exceptional soundstage never before seen at this level.

Contemporary Look

The 3000c Series evolves the signature look and feel of the 3000i to reflect evolving tastes in interior design. In keeping with Q Acoustics' stripped-back design ethos and the simple nature of the C3 profile, the 3000c Series is visually more minimalist, with no prominent joints or screws. A new, elegant, one-piece speaker grille in satin nickel and satin chrome (white only) enhances the front of the cabinet, while all new finishes complete the series' design.

The 3000c Series is available in four new, modern, high-quality finishes that will complement any living space. The introduction of a new light (Pin Oak) and a dark wood finish (Claro Rosewood) alongside the new but classic Satin White and Satin Black finishes first seen in the 5000 Series underlines the modern design character of this new speaker family.

C3 Continuous Curved Cone™

The C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ profile represents a true leap forward in mid-woofer design. It is the result of extensive research and expert engineering to combine the advantages of a traditional straight cone with the control of high and mid-frequency frequencies provided by an extended cone.

Creating a single, smooth, continuous curve profile delivers multiple benefits. First, its excellent dispersion, along with its well-controlled frequency response, allows for smoother integration with the tweeter. Low-frequency dynamics are also outstanding, and this, along with the tighter, more subdued sound in the lower range, allows for greater flexibility in placing the speakers close to the walls of the listening room.

Mid-Woofer Design

The groundbreaking C3 cone is at the heart of the 3000c mid-woofer. The geometry of the diaphragm requires exceptional motor power for optimal performance, which is why large magnets are coupled to the voice coils. The control exerted by the large magnets ensures good dynamics, headroom, and tight bass. In addition to these advantages, the large magnets also ensure that the pole plate and yoke are nearly saturated, reducing flux modulation and harmonic distortion.

High-Frequency Driver Design

Based on the design principle of the latest Concept Series tweeter, the tweeter is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated (floating) from the baffle to prevent internal pressure modulations within the cabinet and the adjacent mid/woofer. The internal chamber is also carefully vented to reduce distortion and has a lower crossover point for seamless integration with the crossover section.

P2P™ (Point-to-Point) Bracing

Q Acoustics' P2P™ (Point-to-Point™) bracing, used throughout the 3000c Series, supports the cabinet parts that require stiffening, making the new cabinets exceptionally rigid, improving stereo focus and making the soundstage more precise than ever before.

HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer)

Like all floorstanding speakers, the 3050c is susceptible to internal pressure buildup, which causes unwanted standing waves and coloration. To prevent this, specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer™) tubes are installed inside the cabinet, which relieve the internal pressure and improve the frequency response.
