Ruark proudly presents the MR1 Mk3, the latest evolution of the highly acclaimed MR1 desktop speaker system, first introduced in 2013. Although at first glance similar to their predecessors, almost everything about the MR1 Mk3 is new, giving them even greater performance and versatility.

Updated USB audio and Bluetooth capabilities enable seamless connection with modern devices—whether for music streaming, TV audio, or high-resolution playback from a computer or even record player.

A legacy of hi-fi innovation

Ruark has been designing and engineering its products in-house since 1985, focusing on excellent audio quality and craftsmanship. The MR1 Mk3 reflects this heritage, combining over four decades of acoustic expertise into a beautifully crafted speaker system.

The handcrafted wooden cabinets, with their ideal acoustic properties, now appear even more premium, with detailed, beveled front edges and new, slate-gray fabric grilles. The cabinet size has been subtly increased to ensure optimal parameters for Ruark's new NS+ bass/midrange drivers. For the amplifier, Ruark has adapted the Class-D technology used in the R410 to significantly increase output power and reproduction precision.

Extensive crossover optimizations and perfect tuning of the bass reflex system have led to a significant improvement in acoustic reproduction quality. The MR1 Mk3 delivers deep, controlled bass, a clear midrange, and exceptional detail thanks to Ruark's custom-designed 20 mm silk dome tweeters.

No matter how you listen, the MR1 adapts to you. Equipped with AptX HD Bluetooth technology, the MR1 Mk3 supports wireless streaming and low-latency audio—ideal for TVs and streaming devices. Listeners can now adjust the volume directly on the connected device, providing full control via the TV remote.

For wired applications, the MR1 Mk3 feature a USB audio input—ideal for direct connection to computers or audio devices with a USB output. This makes the MR1 Mk3 perfect for music fans and discerning audiophiles who require the highest signal resolution.

Additional line-in and optical inputs provide the flexibility to connect third-party devices such as a Wi-Fi music streamer. A dedicated turntable input is also included. It features a high-quality variable-gain moving-magnet phono preamplifier—a simple and effective option for vinyl playback.

Despite their compact form, the MR1 Mk3 speakers deliver room-filling sound. For listeners who want even more bass—especially for movies or games—a subwoofer output is available. Ruark's proprietary RS1 subwoofer is ideal for this.
