The Revela 1 is a classic bookshelf/floorstanding speaker equipped with a 6.5″ woofer and offered with an optional, custom-made stand featuring an equally striking design. The stand is finished in the same high-gloss paint as the speaker and provides the perfect mounting option and display solution for the series’ floorstanding speaker lineup.

QUAD’s Director of Acoustics, Peter Comeau, has continued his groundbreaking engineering work on the further development of this ribbon tweeter, dedicating more than four years of research to achieve a new level of musical subtlety, smoothness, and transparency that reveals the beautiful details of your music collection with truly breathtaking performance.

Reveal™

The highly advanced “True Ribbon” driver is paired with equally powerful woofers and midrange drivers. The midrange and woofer drivers are the result of years of research, development, testing, and continuous innovation, and feature a newly developed fiber composition aptly named “Reveal™.” The smooth diaphragms, refined for seamless integration with the “True Ribbon” tweeter, were specifically selected for their rigidity and excellent self-damping properties. This new diaphragm, combined with a new, specially developed rubber surround for greater excursion and a new high-performance drive system, results in outstanding bass performance, with power, depth, speed, and articulation in abundance. The phase-compensated Acoustic Butterworth crossover is not only the result of computer-aided design but also of hundreds of hours of critical listening tests with all types and genres of music to achieve perfection.

Polished to Perfection

The Revela series continues the evolution of QUAD’s industrial design, as exemplified in recent models—such as the Vena and Artera series. The enclosures of the Revela series are expertly handcrafted to a standard of quality that far surpasses that of comparable competitors in this class. The Revela series is available either with a polished real wood veneer and a seamless polished finish, or with a simple and extremely elegant glossy black finish. In both versions, the Revela series cabinets are a true feast for the eyes! The precisely fitted baffle is seamlessly joined, also with a polished surface, ensuring a presentation of the highest caliber. The cabinet is not only a breathtaking piece of furniture-grade craftsmanship but is also internally braced with a specially developed structure that is connected to the cabinet panels in such a way that unwanted vibrations and resonances are dissipated, maintaining structural rigidity even during the most demanding performances. In addition to the high-performance innovations found in the QUAD Revela, the port tube—featuring an optimal diameter and flare—is precisely positioned to prevent longitudinal resonances from coloring the speaker's performance.
