PRODUCT INFORMATION

The QUAD 303 power amplifier was originally designed for home use, but has also found application in broadcast and recording studios worldwide, who appreciated its excellent performance and reliability. This tradition continues to this day.

Function

The QUAD 303's outstanding performance is celebrated to this day, largely thanks to the unique output circuit developed by QUAD.

In the new edition of the QUAD 303 power amplifier, every detail has been carefully analyzed and modernized to exceed the quality and performance of the original.

Circuit

The new QUAD 303 stays true to the original technology and uses QUAD's famous “symmetrical triples”. These enable a balanced output stage that greatly reduces distortion and ensures stable performance under all conditions. Thanks to this technology, distortion is extremely low and inaudible, even during demanding listening tests.

The new version of the QUAD 303 now uses a fully complementary output stage, providing better linearity, more stable performance and greater reliability. The amplifier remains stable even if it is overloaded or the speakers are short-circuited.

A brand new, specially designed 200VA toroidal transformer ensures low noise operation and reliable performance.

Performance

The QUAD 303 offers a power of 50W at 8 ohms (70W at 4 ohms) and can easily drive even demanding speakers. It is therefore perfectly suited to the modern requirements of audiophiles and can easily drive even QUADs electrostatic speakers.

In bridge mode, the amplifier achieves a power of 140W into 8 ohms or 170W into 4 ohms.

The industrial design of the new QUAD 303 remains true to the classic QUAD style. The anodized housing and CNC-milled heat sinks offer lasting quality and stability.
