Skyanalog G-3 MC-Cartridge
New Suspension System “Yan”
Philosophy of construction: The essence of the MC pickups is the damping system, which is essentially determined by the interaction between the spring (piano wire) and the rubber ring. Furthermore, the art of suspension is essentially matching all the components so that they work harmoniously. As a result, all models in our new product line are carefully factory-tuned to a specification that guarantees balanced music reproduction and is consistent with our commitment to true-to-life reproduction.
The new suspension system, Yan, was developed with the following objectives in mind:
1. Minimizing information loss and distortion:
By refining the spring and suspension materials, Yan aims to preserve the cartridge's interactive audio signal and reduce audible distortion that can affect the listening experience.
2. Exceptional dynamic range and lifelike sound:
The system is designed for a wide frequency and dynamic range, ensuring the soundstage remains spacious and as close as a live performance.
3. Improved transient response and clarity:
The optimized suspension mechanism enables agile response to transient signals while ensuring clearer and more defined playback.
4. Analytical yet warm acoustics:
Yan focuses on analytical precision while maintaining a warm tonal profile that balances out details.
Yan features
1. Tailor-made spring material with optimized elasticity:
A carefully calibrated damping design contributes to more precise vibration control and ensures more accurate high-frequency sampling, which is the bottleneck of traditional MC pickups.
2. Innovative rubber compound for suspension:
Our new rubber compound offers greater rigidity, resulting in less information loss during playback. This rigidity does not come at the expense of the frequency response, but is improved so that excellent tracking is achieved even with low tracking force. The improved material properties enable effective damping over a wide frequency band without generating unwanted resonances.
