All HDMI ports support HDCP 2.3, while eARC on the Main Out routes encoded multi-channel audio (including Dolby Atmos® or DTS:X) from your compatible TV's tuner, video streaming apps or connected media players to the AVR for amplification. QMS (Quick Media Switching) for movies and videos eliminates the delay that can result in a blank screen before content is displayed.

Note: The functions defined in the HDMI 2.1 specification, HDR10+ and the passthrough functions described are supported on HDMI inputs 1-6, the main output and the Sub/Zone 2 output in Sub mode.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X - celebrate a new world of sound

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X translate 3D soundtracks from the studio mixer to your room. Sounds are no longer tied to specific channels and can move freely around and above your listeners, putting them right in the middle of the action. The TX-NR7100 supports 5.2.4-channel and 7.2.2-channel speaker layouts.

Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer delivers 3D sound through any listener-level speaker arrangement. The technology works independently or with the Dolby Surround® upmixer to create a 3D sound field.

Dirac Live® room correction

Dirac Live analyzes your audio system and your listening environment by examining the acoustic data measured by the microphone and uncovering defects. It corrects both the timing and amplitude aspects of sound coloration using a phase-mixed correction filter across the entire listening range, not just a specific zone. Dirac Live automatically calibrates the sound in your room using a smartphone or tablet application* and a setup microphone. Dirac Live exploits the full potential of your speakers in every listening room and delivers a unique, genuine listening experience.

Bi-directional Bluetooth® wireless technology

This AVR can send and receive audio via Bluetooth wireless technology. Stream from your device to the receiver using SBC or AAC codecs, or stream audio played through the AVR to compatible wireless headphones using SBC, aptX™ or aptX HD codecs, including 24-bit audio via aptX HD .

Note: Supports MAIN Zone source broadcast (excludes Chromecast built-in and Works with Alexa). 24-bit lossless audio requires headphones that support aptX HD.

Clearer dialogue at the touch of a button

Vocal Enhancer solves the problem of inaudible dialogue in movies and TV shows by using DSP algorithms to boost vocal frequencies in the soundtrack. The effect level can be raised or lowered using buttons on the remote control.

Three-zone audio for the entire home

Manage playback in up to three rooms with the Onkyo Controller app. This 9.2-channel AVR features a Zone 2 DAC that supports amplified D/A audio distribution (including HDMI, SPDIF and NET) across the Zone 2 and Zone 3 speaker columns and layouts such as 5.2.2-channel Main + Zone 2 or 5.2 channel + Zone 2 + Zone 3.

Note: Zone 3 only supports analog/NET. Zone 2 HDMI audio is available on inputs 1-3. HDMI and SPDIF only support 2-channel PCM audio signals.

Multifunctional line-out Zone 2/Zone B

The analog RCA line out supports two zone audio modes. Zone 2 supports the connection of active speakers or hi-fi systems. Synchronize a source in MAIN and Zone 2, or play two unique D/A sources simultaneously. Zone B is suitable for wireless headphone docks. Enjoy MAIN Zone Audio through your wireless headphones.

Note: In Zone 2 mode, HDMI audio is available on inputs 1-3 and SPDIF and HDMI only support 2-channel PCM signals. In “Zone B” mode, encoded and 2-channel PCM audio playback is enabled for all inputs in MAIN and Zone B.

Relax with Stereo Assign mode

Stereo Assign Mode switches playback from the front to the Height 1, Height 2, Surround or Surround Back speakers (depending on the layout). It is ideal for background playback.

Connections for custom installations

A 12V trigger output synchronizes operation with an external component, such as a B. a power amplifier, while the IR input connects an IR repeater. Ethernet supports IP control for home automation and AVR configuration via PC browser. RS-232C control and OSD output are supported. A rack mounting kit is optionally available.
