The Performance Ethernet cable was specially developed for the transmission of high-resolution audio data up to 24 bit/192 kHz between corresponding components in the network.

The Performance Ethernet cable enables transmission of high-resolution audio data up to 24 bit/192 kHz in the network. QED development engineers have proven that reducing jitter or timing errors in digital cables results in cleaner transmission of audio data. The same applies to Ethernet cables: With the CAT 6 UTP specification and 250 MHz bandwidth, the Performance Ethernet cable is ideally equipped for the transmission of the current high-resolution audio data formats.

Most conventional patch keys conform to the Cat5e standard and are only specified for data rates up to 100 MHz. With its data rate of up to 250 MHz, the QED Performance Ethernet cable even exceeds the specifications for CAT6 UTP patch cables. This leaves enough leeway even when transmitting high-resolution audio data.

Asymmetrical construction for reduced crosstalk

Each twisted pair of strands runs within the cable in its own sleeve made of polyethylene, so that the geometry is reliably maintained. This construction further helps eliminate crosstalk within the cable and maintains the 100 ohm impedance specified in the Cat6 UTP standard.
