The Rega Planar 2 was developed on the basis of the current Planar 3 & on the occasion of Record Tore Day 2024, the successful P2 model will be presented in the limited special colour "Green/Green".

Equipped with the RB220 tonearm, a 24V low noise motor, matt-coated chassis with increased surface quality, newly developed Rega disc bearing and much more. Every feature of this innovative turntable has been designed to get the maximum listening experience and detail out of your record collection.

The Planar 2 Limited Edition is decoupled via specially designed, highly effective acoustic feet.  Patent-pending, self-locking disc bearing with optimized accuracy of fit and reduced bearing stress.

New Rega RB220 high-performance tonearm with new, specially developed backlash-free ball bearings with minimal friction. Novel anti-skating adjustment, reinforced housing for the vertical bearing. Newly developed 24V motor and control module for maximum smoothness and low vibration.  Optiwhite" float glass plate with 10 mm thickness and improved precision. The Planar 2 comes with a pre-assembled Rega Carbon MM pickup, which immediately makes it a top-of-the-line plug and play offering in its class.

The latest development in tonearm utilizes our brand new tonearm tube, is carefully hand-assembled, has ultra-low friction bearings and sound performance far exceeds expectations for a tonearm in this price range. In terms of touch quality, adjustment options, but also in terms of visual impression, it is clearly ahead of its predecessor, the RB202.
The RB220 also has a headshell with the third hole for practical and safe three-point mounting (for Rega cartridges from Elys2 and larger). It doesn't get any better or more practical than this.
