The latest version of the classic Cayin MT-12 N tube amplifier relies on two legendary EL-84 end tubes per channel, which are controlled by double 3-pin tubes of the type 6N1. In addition to numerous improvements to the details, it was even necessary to change the wiring of the tube base. A simple exchange of the glow plunger would not have made this further development or an upgrade of the previous success model, which was sometimes affected by delivery bottlenecks due to its popularity. Tubing expert Johannes Maier from AUDIO stated in his test result in issue 11/14: "Fast-moving and finely resolved sound." The experts also noticed the high-quality storage and cleaning electrolytic capacitors from Rubycon as positive. In addition to gold-plated connections, careful construction and a noble wooden front panel, the push-pull amplifier for tube conditions offers decent output power for a small price.
